I am a J1 student with the 2 year home residency requirement. Does this 2 year home residency have to be immediately after the end of the program? Can it be postponed during which time I will work in a third country other than the the US and my home country? If not how can my sponsor track my whereabouts and what are the consequences of not returing to my home country and at the same time not coming back to the US?
