Is Stamping a must.

I have a basic question . Is stamping a must after your gc aproval? cant we just wait for the plastic card and not get stamped.? Of course if i do not have any plans to travel.?

I did read some time in forum that stamping required if one wants to travel before getting palastic card.

Also, I did read in form that after I 551( stamping ) actual process for plastic card ordering starts.

Personally I don't know what is fact. God knows. This is what I guess.

when u go for stamping they make you fill a application for card process as told by immigration officer when I went for stamping

stamping ?

Without going to a service center for stamping ...
How would you apply for the the Card ?
How would you privide them your photographs ?
How would you provide them your finger print ?

I think you need to get it stamped ASAP to get your Green Card process started ... or else ... you'll delay it yourself ....
