Is Second FP required for AOS approval

Hi All,

I wanted to know if it is possible to get AOS Approval with a "expired" FP. Has anybody got a I-485 approval with an expired FP or does the immigration officer send out a fresh FP notice if he picks up a case for processing that has a expired FP before deciding on the case.

This is according to my attorney. Approval with expired FP happens occasionally - if it is expired within few months (not nearly a year). He have couple of cases like that.
