Its not a problem to change address while I-485 is pending. Only
problem is Figure print Notice from INS.
I moved a month back but I just waited until I received my FP
notice otherwise the FP notice might get lost in the mail. These
immigration documents are not forwarded to new address by
post office they will be returned back.
But Lawyers also receive a copy of FP notice so you still may get
it from Lawyer.
After my move, I filed AR11 form and then called Nebraska service center to ask the change of address procedure, I was lucky to get a good immigration office and he changed my address right over the phone.
There a G-731 form (only page 2) that can be used to inform INS
where your case is pending to inform about the CHANGE OF ADDRESS.
But it is absolutely no problem if you have to move.
