Is any reason INS sends the application back

I have applied for I 485/EAD/AP concurrent filing March 1,2004
received RD : March8 2004
ND :March 9,2004

Rest of the applications INS sent it back saying petition/application doesn't match .

Lawyer send application with I140notice on March19'2004

Again INS has snet this applications back with same reason " application-/petition can not be matched ....

To my great surprise I140 approved : April 8,2004.

anybody has similar experience ?

Signature for Children

I have received back all the petitions for I-485, I-131 and I-765 for myself, spouse and kids for the reasons that I should have signed on the top portion for the applications of kids, and not bottom. They have sent my wife's and my application back too, as their policy is to return ALL applications.

I have signed the petitions for the kids in both the sections ( upper and lower) as advised by USCIS and resubmitted them. I am hoping that they will accept it this time.
