Not relevant. Once you are citizen (by birth or nat), you are not required to demonstrate moral character :). I cant wait to become citizen. :D

As an aside, how can IO search USCIS database(s) unless her name is Unique and/or she handed over more details to him such as DOB, fact that she is in removal proceedings etc. ?

According to the article, the IO met the woman on a social networking site and through communication she told him she was under deportation.
