Interview ?

Good afternoon,

On December 28th, 04 my I-140 was approved and my I 485 transferred on 12/29/04 to the Los Angeles Office. The current status says that the LA office will schedule an interview. My question is : does it mean that i'm going to have an interview or is it just a basic message ? Please let me know...
Another question : once you got your passport stamped, does it mean I will be able to finally travel out of the country or will i have to wait until i receive my GC ?

You will receive the interview notice within 1-2 months from LA office, and you wil get stamp in the interview. The stamp is a temporary green card. It means you are a permant resident. No problem on travel and work!

There is a separate thread for LA interview tracking. Please use that. Looks like there are lot of cases getting transferred to LA. Mine was transferred Nov,04. No interview yet.
