iEAD in Hartford, CT (or making up the rules as they go along)

Went to Hartford, CT BCIS office with receipt notices showing a pending EAD at VSC for 91 days.

They advised me that it is not 91 days but in fact 104 days (90 for processing, 14 for mailing). They also advised us that after 104 days they will give an appointment to come back after 45 days !

After some friendly chit-chat with an unneccessarily rude BCIS supervisor we went our way.

Anybody had a similar experience ? I haven't heard or seen anything like that before.
 
Sorry to hear this. Are you able to go to another district office, or does it have to be Hartford?

I don't know. My residence as well as the offered job are in the Hartford offices jurisdiction.
Does anybody know whether it is possible to get iEAD at another local office (one that preferably still does walkin-EAD's).

did any of have any luck with the I- EAD , I want to go for mine - toa hartford or please advise which other I can go for. 91 days are up for me.
