My wife had her biometrics done at the ASC(Application Support Center) in Arizona for I90 (last name change).
They have returned the Green card back to us. When I asked if they would stamp the passport and take the green card, they said as the GC is still valid, we can keep it and the System will be updated with the name change and we can use the GC.
Is it normal for the ASC to not take the green card for name change?
At another ASC in California when we enquired earlier they said they will take the GC and stamp the Passport at the time of Biometrics.
