I485 pending and employer merging/acquired

Gurus out there...need your opinion..

I have an I485 pending (RD 3/9/05, ND 3/14/05) and an I140 approved (3 years
ago). I have received the EAD and AP approvals. Now there are chances of my employer either merging with another company or getting acquired by another company - what are the risks to my 485 ? In case the company gets acquired before 485 gets approved, what would it take to continue the GC process ?
 
I believe two documents are required
1. merger documents
2. New company stating that they will continue the cases from the prevoius company.

If you have these documents, you should be fine but ask you lawyer, he will be able to guide you better.
 
You'll be OK. MY company spun off before the I-140 approval even, and everything went smoothly.
