I140 pending for more than ONE year !!

Hello friends

I need a help. I applied for my I140 In november of 2000. My reciept date is : NOV 6TH 2000 and it is still pending.

Last time I inquired with INS (on Oct 31st 2001), they said it is at the officer\'s desk and let me know the status once the descision has been made\'

It has been over a month now. Still pending.

My question is that: Can anybody tell me how long will it take for an officer to get to my case. I mean, is there any maximum allowed time period for an INS officer to get to a particular case??

The help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated..

can u give some more details

i mean it is pending at NSC,VSC?
yrs is EB2,EB3?
 
you must have filed your case with TSC. You should make congressional inguiry to get your case appr

very simple, write letters to your local congressman and senator, they will be happy to help you though this. They represent peole in their district, they have the responsibility to help you to deal with the government. so, do it as soon as possible, you will get your case approved.
 
Get in touch with ur Attorney or Call INS

Mine was OCT 2000 and just this month i got a positive reply after a RFE and denial.I was in the same boat,it sucks.

call INS(mine was VSC).

My Receipt date is Jan 03, 2001 @VSC. I\'m also waiting for INS reply.
