I am desperately looking for an advice. I\'m currently finishing my Master\'s degree with J-1 visa. I have a job offer from the state institution. I\'m thinking about start working using my practical training period, which is unfortunately only 3 months (fellowship requirements). Later I will have to go home to change my passport (because it expires) and then start H1B visa application procedure with my new passport data. My questions are:
- Is it legal for me to start working using my practical training period?
- How long is it going to take to get H1B visa?
- How much does it cost?
- Am I missing anything out?
- etc.
