I-551 stamp question

just got passport stamped at SJ. can anybody tell me what DOE means? probably date of entry???? I got two different dates for this on my and my wife's passport. On my wife's stamp, it is the date of notice date on approval notice. On my stamp, the date is 8 days earlier than the notice date on approval notice.

yes, date of entry. in case of I-485 approval it's considered that you are "entered" as perm resident (or immigrant visa) on that date.
