Hello, I am on L1a and priority date is december 2022. I had filed for I 485 concurrently. At that time my status was single. Subsequently I got married in August 2023 and my spouse has received L2 visa and we plan to file i 485 AOS for her in end July 2025. Her country of birth is "current " while my Indian birth is not current. Has anyone got experience/ suggestions if we can utilize cross chargability of her country without me filing a New I 485, thus resetting the 180 days clock? Some forum mentions that a cover letter requesting USCIS to consider her country of birth for me also may be possible and some other forums say I have to file I 485 again + with my spouse i 485. Doing so, my 180 days clock will be reset. Would anyone comment if they have similar experiences?
