I-485 case transferred to INS, SFO, CA for an interview??

Just heard on the AVM, that the I-485 case has been transferred to INS, SFO
  for an interview. The scheduling of interview could take months according to
  the message.

  Was expecting "approval" message. Guess that\'s the way it goes ....
  Not sure of how long this scheduling would take.

  Anyone with experiences with interview -- please send me details.
  The guessing game continues.

  Details:
  EB3 India (EB2 amendment also interfiled)
  PD: 9/97
  ND: 8/99
  FP: 1/01 (spouse FP 6/00)
  RFE: 4/26 for W-2, company letter, paystubs
  RFE reply: 5/8
  AVM update for RFE: 6/21
  Transfer for interview update: 8/4
  Not sure when the interview will be scheduled....
 
Hang in there, may get interview notice in 4-5 months

I have been waiting for my interview in SJ for 3 months now. No interview notice yet. Supposedly the wait time in SJ is between 3-6 months, more likely 8-10 based on messages posted to this board (and on the invaluable comments from Ciba).

There have been 2 recent posts (less than one month) from SF interview transferees. Try to do a search on the board. I seem to remember that they waited for 4-5 months.

Note that there is very little data on the interviews at the local offices. Given the low amount of samples I would take the above information with a grain of salt.

Do you know the reason for ur interview yet?
This is difficult because i waited for 4 months after RFE and this?
It appears that everytime they open the file, they want more information.
Why are they playing with people\'s life?
