I-140 EB1b approved but I-140 Eb1a is pending or rejected, May I apply for I-485?

I-140 EB1b (outstanding researcher) was approved, but I-140 EB 1a is pending or reject? May I apply I-485 for status adjustment using I-140 EB1b. ? My employer applied I-140 EB1b, and i applied I-140 1a, Now employer based I-140 Eb1b was approved, still i-140 EB-1a is pending.
At this situation, May I apply I-485?
