i-130: listing a previous marriage of a parent

Hi,

I was just filling out the forms for one of my parents and I found out that they had been married to someone else and divorced a long time ago like 50 years ago in the third world where documentation is below par.

The question I have is -- if they don't have any documentation supporting that earlier marriage should they still list it on their i-130?

If the marriage was officially registered, it needs to be listed.

And if it was officially registered, it may be possible to obtain the records. Have they tried?
