I-130 for parents

I -130 question. In Nov 2001, I applied I-130 for my parents, tehy left for India soon thereafter. the CA Processing Center is processing 6/02 applications for I-130. ANy idea why we havebot heard from them. We did not file AOS as they were leaving.
I am worried and appreciatre any help.
