How to get my H1 approval notice

My company's attorney just got my H1-B transfered but she refuse to give me the approval notice(Form I 797). Since in the middle of that form, it saids "The petitioner should keep the upper portion of this notice. The lower portion should be given to the worker." , she said she will tear off the bottom part which is the form I-94 give to me and the company will keep the upper portion of that form. She won't listen to me and she also doesn't care how other immigration attorney handle this.

Does anyone can tell me where I can find the official documents to approve the form I-797 belongs to me? Any feed back will be appreciated.

I got the original papre (full page) from the HR, our company just keeps the photocopy for it. Since I don't deal with the lawyer directly, so I just assume that the lawyer has the photocopy as well.

I don't know where you can get the paper again, but at least you should keep a photocopy of the full page, and put the original I-94 with your passport.
