My H1 transfer was applied at the INS California Service Center thro my current employer in Aug 2001 and was approved in Nov 2001. (according to the automated response system of INS) However, my company says it hasn\'t yet received the Approval Notice for my H1 from INS. The company claims they have sent numerous reminders through their lawyers to INS but without luck. I tried calling the CSC INS center myself but could never get thro the customer service no.
The questions I have are:
1) Can I contact INS as the beneficiary of H1 petition to obtain the paper document from INS directly? If yes, how?
2) Is there a fax no. where INS responds to the queries faxed in a timely fashion? I am told the Texas center does something like this.
3) Is there a way for myself or my company lawyers (thro AILA?) to follow my case up in person?
4) What papers should I obtain from my company in lieu of the pending \'Approval Notice\' document so that I can apply for a H1 transfer, if I need to, in the future?
Any pointer, suggestions or experiences would be extremely helpful
