I have recently got my TN1 Visa, originally the US Employer and I agreed that I will be paid Corp-Corp, because I am Incorporated in Canada.
Because me and my employer are both new to TN1 Process, we thought the safest way was to mention that I will be an employee in our TN Visa Application Letter. Not sure if this matters in the TN1 Visa approval by Immigration, but that was what was mentioned in my letter.
As mentioned, we already have the TN Visa, is it still possible for me and the US employer to revisit the original plan before of getting paid corp-corp. If it is, for tax purposes, would the US employer just issue me a 1099 later on?
