How many years of W2/tax returns does INS asks in RFE?

Hello,
Does anybody know how many years of W2/tax returns the INS requests in RFE? Does that depends on how many years you have been in US, or the number of years you have been in the sponsoring company?

you can get the documents from the IRS if you lost them. Depending on what you ask for there is a nominal fee.
