How many photos? IC site contradictory

First, thanks for the brilliant Sticky -- great info.

I have a question, though. The NY Indian Consulate site says contradictory things.

On this page http://www.indiacgny.org/php/showContent.php?linkid=381
It says -- Three additional 35 mm x 35 mm size photographs on this page

And on this page http://www.indiacgny.org/php/showContent.php?linkid=381
It says -- You must also submit TWO (2) PHOTOGRAPHS IN COLOR ( photo details are given in OCI Overview ) , One ORIGINAL photograph should be affixed to each copy of your application.

So, I guess to start with, I stick a photo on each page of the application. Then, do I sent 2 or 3 additional photos? Anyone know?

Also, on this page
It says -- For each of the two applications, an original 35mm X 35mm size color photo ( light colour background , not white background ) without border...

All US Passport places use a white background?!

3 in Total

i got my OCI last week from NYC ,two photograpphs on forms ,one each on A and B and one attached.Normal US passport photos with light blue background from any studio.

Thanks, Bell. Appreciate it.

How long did it take you? Planning on applying next week.

Thanks!

16 days including weekends, wow! I don't know how NY CGI is doing it so fast. They have to go through the same process right, like sending the documents to India for approval etc? Rest of the CGIs don't even acknowledge in less than 4 weeks. I wish the other consulates could pickup the pace.
