How long it takes to get GC for parent in India/or in US

My parent are in India right now but they can visit here on visitor visa so I have two options...

1. If they visit here I can file their I-130 and 485 together.
2. Or file I-130 while they are in india and then come here when they get green card... (Bombay)

Any one has experience in either case let me know timeline?

It Depends on whwre you live in US. Some places are very fast like only 3-4 months. Some places are very slow like 12-15 months. My in-laws got in 14 months

Another question is, did you file I485 also alongwith I130 and everything went smooth.Have they not been asked any question in interview etc about filling immi. papers though they were visiting on visitor visa? Please reply with entire process.
