Guys,
My IV interview is scheduled next month on 3/19 at Mumbai consulate but I have still not received Packet 4. Has everybody received their packet 4? I was informed that my packet 4 was mailed on February 4\'th. How would I handle the situation if for some reason I don\'t get it at all?

Print out the webpage showing your case number .....

from mumbai consulate website.(usembassy.state.gov/mumbai/) .

Else, you can also collect the duplicate interview letter from the Information window at mumbai consulae either in person or thru someone duly auhorized by you.

Best.

I did not get mine at all.

I had my relatives pick up copies from the consulate.

ud: please reply

Did you have to do anything special? I mean did you give the person any letter of authority saying that you are authorizing the person to pick up the stuff on your behalf? Also did you him/her copy of your passport?

Clive Lloyd\'s P3 processing

Here it is:

I-140 approved : 10/29
NVC created case: between 11/15-11/20 (not sure exact date)
Lawyer received P3: 12/05
Packet 3 sent directly to Mumbai: 12/10
Mumbai Consulate received: 12/21

At that time there were no St. Louise middlemen/middlewomen :-)

Pls explain "St. Louise middlemen/middlewomen"..........

Hi, I got my I-140 approved from VSC on 2/27/02. I am scheduled for CP in Montreal Canada. Form the sounds of you message there is a delay involved with "St. Louise middlemen/middlewomen". Pls let me know if this will affect my CP time at Montreal Canda. Tks. Sri.

Nothing special

All they need to do is go to the window and tell them your name, the interview date and the case number(if known) & the consulate will give them the copies of your P4. Have them go early in the morning as the window closes I think, around 11AM.

Thanks ud

I guess either I will have to go there myself one day early or someone from my family pick up P4.

New Process

From what I have heard that they have changed a process a little bit since January/February. Now instead of sending documents directly to consulate they now go to St. Louise. You also pay the visa fee up front, not at consulate any more. Please check with other Gurus on this as I am not well informed on this process.

What time?

I am scheduled at 10:30 on 3/19. Also, could you please post the documents listed in Packet 4 that need to be presented at the time of interview? Just want to make sure that I am not missing anything before leaving for India. My lawyer has prepared DS230 part II for me. I have a notarized letter from our Human Resources VP confirming my employment with my employer, salary etc. I am going to carry the support documents that I had submitted with I-134 (bank statements, personal investment records, recent paycheck stubs, annual life insurance policy statement etc) and a copy of I-140 approval notice (original was sent to NVC-->Consulate).

I have scheduled the appointment at Hinduja on Friday 3/15. Is that within "medical dates period" listed in P4? Please reply.

Notarized employment letter

Srikoka,

I was under the impression that one had to take a notarized employment letter (immihelp.com) under consular processing. Further I believe it should not be more than one month old. Can anyone throw light on that?

You are right

It has to be notorized and should be done by your company. However is signing from the company has to go to notorary.
About 30 days, somebody else can throw more light.

Yes it should be notarized!!!

Hi,

Yes the employment letter should be notarized from someone in your company.According to Packet 4 it should not be older than 6 months
