Has any one ever heard of or tried using http://www.practice.org to find J1 waiver job? Their address is

Global Marketing Resources, Inc.
1415 Pinehurst Rd., Dunedin, FL 34698

They are also known as Practice Opportunitites online

The fee is 10k, 5k is due at employment signing (hire) and 5k at waiver recommendation. One has to sign a contract.

Has any one ever worked with them or heard about them? Any reviews?

Which specialty you are looking for?

This is what Shusterman wrote a few days ago "According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, over 25% of our population lives in medically-underserved areas where there is less than one primary-care physician for every 3,500 patients"

You must not pay for job to any-one. There are plenty of resources on the internet [Like http://www.napr.org/firstTimeVisitors.asp] and many more. Try NEJM, JAMA and American Family physician for primary care jobs. Try specialty societies of your branch. I will send CVs to even ads not mentioning J-1 waiver job.

Two of my friends who took up J-1 waiver jobs via websites charging fees. Both ended up getting mean employers! Never pay for a J-1 waiver job.

This forum is not as active as it used to be. I hope other 'seniors' will share their two cents!

Good Luck!

sounds dubious
You will likely end with a employer who will exploit your immigration status.
There are plenty of J-1 waiver jobs available nowadays.

scam

I consider this to be a scam. While the fee is similar to the one paid by a practice if they contract a recruiter to fill a vacancy, you should NEVER EVER pay that yourself. Their price has come down, they used to demand 25k (10k up front, 10 at waiver recommendation). I guess the number of suckers willing to shell out 25k wasn't big enough to make it worth their while.

I posted my knowledge on possible leads in the job hunt in the 'self help' thread, others here have contributed other sources. Do your footwork and a job will come your way.
