H4 to L1 Conversion

I have worked in India for 3 years.After getting married I moved to US on H4 visa in Dec 2007.I applied for H1 but my application was rejected in the lottery.Is there any option that would allow me to convert my H4 into L1 or let me work legally on my H4? Any help or suggestions on this would be great.

The only way you can convert to an L1 is if you can show that you worked in India for the company that is sponsoring your L1 here for a period of at least 6 months. If that is something you can demonstrate, then my advice would be to seek an immigration lawyer that has dealt with L1 cases before and explain your situation and he should be able to craft a case for you.
