H4 to F1 visa

Hello,

I am in US pursuing a nursing degree. I came to US on a H4 visa and got a change of status to F1 a couple of months back. I intend to go to India and I know I will need to get the visa stamped on my passport. I need advice...If my F1 is denied for some reason, will my H4 status still be valid in order for me to come back to US to continue my studies. Or, will I need to apply again for the H4 visa ? I will be thankful to anybody for advice.

Once you changed your status to F1 from H4, your H4 visa is invalid or cancelled. You can't have 2 visas at the same time. If your F1 visa application been turned down, then you have to reapply for H4 again.

Hi, I have a question on converting from h4 visa to F1 visa. Iam planning on getting it stamped in india.

What my doubt is, If i do not get my F1 visa stamped in india can i come back on h4 again? Or My h4 visa is going to be canceled? Can anyone throw some light on it?
