H1B Visa Validity?

I travelled to USA in 2017 on H1B visa (onsite from Infosys) and I worked for a year, after that my H1b extension got rejected.
So I returned to India, continued working for Infosys and quite the company. Changed two companies. Now I am planning to apply for F1 visa for graduation.
Does my H1b is still valid(5 years) even after graduating from US universities? or I have to go through lottery process again?

Current USCIS policy allows H-1B time to be recaptured at any time, as long as you haven't spent 6 years actually in H-1B status.
