I am on H1B since 5.5 years. my H1B is expiring in Oct 2013. now my current employer file ETA9089 like 1 month ago. my question is there is one company may be interested in hiring me. So

Is It possible for them to transfer my H1B
?
Can they start new greencard process and I will be still eligible for extension.
Should I wait? my current employer is not in good condition? I mean they can lay me off also. So I was wondered.
I know I am kind of screwed up here. please advice.
