I am currently on H-1b Visa and I am in USA for past 2 years. I am planning to quit my job and join my husband who is in USA (but in a different state/city). He will process my H4 visa and I will join him. However, while am in H4, if i get a job in his city (say during January 2013), I will need to get a H1B visa again. In that case, does it come under the new quota or will it be old because I already had a H-1B. Also do I need to wait until next October 2013, for my H1b to be active or can i start working immediately. Kindly advise.
