H1B Stamping Ottawa?????

Hello,
I have appointment on 3rd May, and going for visa renewal, I have got H1 approved till 2012 full approval with I140, (am on 7th year extension). i am on contract currently runs through over 6months, and my visa was expired on July'09, which within 12months of expiry.
I have all w2's and payroll, pay stubs in proper order.

Is it advisable to go for visa stamping in Canada.
Any precautions to be take care?
Client letters and vendor letters are must these days?
Any suggestions are appreciated.

I did but its 3 year back.

I had the same situtation but its 2006, I don't know about now, One think you have to make sure they are going to ask you like " what is your current status in canada?" I had a PR card for canada, what about you, and if they deny your Stamping then you have to go to your mother country and get it stamped over there. I heard cases like that also. So, be prepared for anything.
