My H1b expires December of 2007, this is the final year. I have my I-140 approved.
My question is, Someone told me that there is this law that you have to file for an extension atleast 1 year prior to your expiry date (for the final year only). First of all is that a valid law? is it still in effect? this is June 2007 and I have 5 months left, how soon do I need to file for an extension?
