I am now waiting for the approval notice to be mailed to my employer.

Your RFE response date at VSC - was that date when your fed ex (or mail package) reached VSC OR was that the date stated in the auto message?

Here is what the RFE asked for:

1. Copy of current I-797
2. Names, addresses and periods of employment for jobs held the past six years
3.Proof of H1 status for last six years. (As an RFE reply for this question, my company sent in copies of all my past approvals [I-797], copies of all my H1 visas, and copies of all my I-94s)

what is the number you call at VSC and what kind of id are you prompted to enter? do you know if this would also work to track 485 application? thnx
 
Call 1-802-527-4913, Enter receipt number from notice.

You will probaby have to dial a few times because you will get a busy signal. Don\'t give up. To avoid redialing a million times, I recommend calling after 5 ET on weekdays or on weekends.

Strange H1 transfer , no receipt # but RFE for I 539!!!!!!!

Mailed:11/5/01
Fedex receipt: 11/6/01
RFE; 12/4/01 without receipt # so now I can\'t even track my application.

In H1 transfer, is the new H1, approved beginning from the date you requested for or the day INS sends the notice.
Since I joined the new employer with the fedex receipt, wondering will there be a gap???

The approval is in effect from the day INS approves your case

But that does not mean that you are out of status or have a gap. Under the portability rules you are fine.
 
Company got approval notice in the mail on 12/07

This means that the mailroom is back to regular operations. Total 4 days from the approval date to getting the actual notice in the mail.

I do have a same problem that didn,t get any receipt or any response...actually address got chnaged . So i don\'t know what to do.
