Hi All,

Need your suggestion / advice.

My current status is this :

H1 expiring in Nov '10. I-140 approved. Have filed for 3 yr extension, which I should get by Oct (next month).

Now I am also applying to a few B-Schools this year for Full-Time MBA for Fall '11.

My questions are :

1.) Upon graduation, based on the approved I-140, can I "reactivate" my current H1 (with the last 2 yrs or so remaining) ? even if my H1 has to be revoked since I won't be working.

2.) Can my company continue my GC (and file for I-485) while I am at school ? I work in the technology function right now, but plan to switch to Finance post-MBA.

Thanks for your help.

Did you get any answers on this? in case you have already gone through this, since it seems like an old post -

I have a PERM going while my 6th yr on H1 ends in another 3 months. Can you pls help answer a few questions?

1) Can F1 visa be rejected on the grounds that I already have a PERM going? Do I need to take any extra steps while filing F1 because of my PERM?

2) If F1 gets rejected, can I continue on my H1 with the PERM going the way it is today?
