I have applied for my H-1 on May 5th 2006 with Vermont center and my application got transferred to Texas Center on July 28th. So far it’s been almost 120 days since I applied for it. And I still have not heard anything from INS.
I have my OPT until 30th of this month (September). I am working with an IT company. What I am wondering is
1. Can I work with my LIN number after 30th of this month on my current job (I know this can be done for H-1 transfers but I am not sure if this is the same case with new H-1s).
2. If I cannot work, I am wondering if anybody has similar time frame and experience with H1s. If you do, please let me know your approval statuses, so I can decide if I have to go for a premium processing?
