Got EAD at Columbus, OH INS

Hi Guys, I had applied for my EAD extension that expires on 10/15/02.
My Lawyer mailed the applications to Cinci INS Office a month back. I got a letter last week to appear for an interview on 08/23/02 between 8 to 1.00 at INS Columbus office situated at 50, west broad street (opposite to Huntington Center) Downtown.
I already had a finger print appointment at the same office on 09/04/02. I requested the officer to get both done today and he was very helpful and nice to let me do my fingerprinting and EAD together.

I am posting this message because there was a misconception that we should travel to cinci to get EAD

Need clarification....

Did you get your EAD from the day your first one expires or Was it from the day INS issued it.
I am asking this because my first EAD expired on 22nd Oct 2002 and the new one was issued from 24th July 2002 as that was the day INS processed it. Even I had got my EAD renewal from INS Columbus Office

Got EAD from todays date and

expires on 08/22/01. My old EAD was valid form 10/14/01 to 10/15/02
