Go InfoPass before approval notice

Is it good idea to make an appointment through InfoPass before I get formal approval notice? I got email notices but not formal notice. Since InfoPass is available in two-week blocks, I would like to make an appointment before I receive the formal notice. Is there any risk? (should not, since I can cancel any time). Thanks.

I took appointment with infoPass after getting APPROVED email. The appoinment date = Sep 27th. Hopefully i get approval mail before that, if not i need to cancel the appoinment (no risk)

get an infopass appt. the second you get the email. There is no obligation to make the time slot. Also, appointments are hard to come by, so you may have to wait an additional week if you wait to make for letter. Allow atleast one week for the letter from the email.
