I am currently in the US. I've never lived in India. I am an Indian citizen on account of my parents being citizens. My expired passport is over 20 years old.
Due to an expired US visa, in order to renew it, I have to go to India (on an emergency certificate). Over there, I will need to apply for a new passport, but I wouldn't know where to start as I do not have any Indian documents (Aadhar, PAN card, etc) that seem to be required. I don't have an Indian birth certificate because I was born overseas. Does anyone have any idea regarding the process or any resources/recommendations?
