GC for Parents

Hello All,

I want to apply GC for my mother. She is born in 1945. She want to go through Consular Processing as she cannot travel for personal reasons. I only have the following documents with me.

- My Passport.
- My DOB Certificate with only father's name.
- My Mother's DOB Non Availability Certificate. (These people took away the original Affidavit given by my uncle).
- My Mother's Passport, Aadhaar Card.

Is is absolutely necessary to provide a DOB certificate of my mother ? She is born in 1945. Are there any alternative ways to prove that she is my mother ? Can I opt to submit a DNA Report ?
 
You only need your birth certificate to file I-130. Her birth certificate will be needed later in the consular processing. The fact that your mother is not on your birth certificate is a problem; I am not sure what you need to do in such a case but you will probably need some secondary evidence of birth and her being your mother similar to people who don't have birth certificates.

What did you finally do about your birth certificate? I have the same problem where my mother's name is not listed on my BC.
