As long as the sponsor company provides all the paper work and the company is well established(no fraud, financially solid etc), you should be able to get GC through that company. Theretically, you don't even have to work for any employer or even in the united states. But you would have to join sponsor company after you get your green card.
You can file I-140 through two companies, but you can only file one I485.
