GC approved, Laid off from Company, No job, going to india any problems

Hi

My 485 is approved in June. I planned to go india in Nov.
I came to know I am laif off, I don't have time to find a new job.
Can i go ahead to India trip. Any problems at Port of Entry.
I recived Phycial card also.

I am worried please let me know.
 
You will not have any problems for the trip, but make sure that the trip is short.
 
I think it is ok to visit India or stay home or do some other job. Also you can apply for un-employment.

One of my uncle was laid-off in 15 days, after he got his GC (that too he did counseller processing). then he applied for Un-employment and got for 9 months. then he started his own business.

As long as the your company is not against you, you are ok. So maintain good relationship with them.

Technically, if you have become an leagal immigrant then you are not bound by your job - anyone correct me if i am wrong. So I would go ahead. But asking the lawyer would not hurt.
 
Just curious, if you are an IT professional, let me know.Nowadays, there are job openings for almost any skill set..right from mainframes to Java to database programming..
