I went to local INS for Finger Print this morning.
It took a while for the INS stuff to get my finger print because some of them are too light to be read. I heard that you can call FBI to check the result. How many days should I wait to call FBI? Will FBI tell me if
the finger print is readable or not? Thanks!
 
You can call INS after 3 or 4 days and with ur A# they can confirm whether ur FP was good or not

From what I have read the FBI does not tell you whether your FP were good or bad right, they just tell you that they were transmitted back to INS, right ?

Normally the transmission of FP back to INS is done the same day or next day (if FP done electronically). From my understanding this does not mean that the FBI part of AOS is complete. They still need to do a background check and send that information back to INS, which take 3 - 5 weeks, again I am not sure on this and maybe someone more knowledgeable with this can clarify.
 
Thanks a lot to everybody! I am going to call FBI next week to

check if they send the finger print back to INS or not. Then, I will call INS to find out if my finger print is readable.
