Hi,
I just called the fingerprinting status at FBI and they told me that they've rejected my fingerprinting again. My first fingerprinting was done first week in April (Code 3) and I got another one which I did last week (Code 1) and both got rejected.

The lady at ASC told me that the next time my fingerprints get rejected again that they will require a police clearance.

Should i take an infopass and ask what I need to do next? Wait for the notice from USCIS? Where do I send police clearance? Anyone has similar situation?

Please help.

Thanks in advance,
GCorBust!

Bump for some answers,as i'm in a simillar sitiuation only difference is that my fingerprints were rejected 3 times already. i have an interview in 3 days and i don't know what to do next!

Hi,
I was wondering what did the 3rd notice say? How long did you get the notice after taking the 2nd fingerprint? On your 3rd notice, did it ask to bring police clearance letters on your interview? I appreciate your help.

Thanks,
GCorBust!

Most probably you will be asked to produce POLICE CLEARANCE LETTER from every -

1. City
2. Municipality
3. County
you lived in past 5 years within next 3 months. These all cost you 15-40 USD/letter/Office. Be prepared to visit the local police office & county courts.

USCIS will send you a return envelope to your lawyer to send back all these collected letters in them.

Many of the FP rejections are due to sweaty palms. It helps to include a covering letter from your doctor that you have hyperhydrosis which may affect fingerprinting results.

Note that most of the time your local police station itself gives for entire county but otherwise you have to go to the county court and stand in a line.

It takes more time for clearance letters if you have a culpable arrest. Traffic misdemeanours (running a red light, bumping etc) are ok but felonies are complex.

Allocate half a working day per office.

Inclusion of Municipality in the above list is to cover countries like India etc, if u were there in last 5 years.

Police offices are very helpful in US. (they get crisp money for a simple SELECT COUNT(*) FROM...).

Again don't sweat ;) for Fingerprinting too much!

Rgds
