Filing Wife's I-485

I have my employment based I-485 pending (see signatures), I am trying to figure how will I be able to file my wife's I-485 once she gets in USA on H4 visa.

- Is her I-485 going to get associated with my I-485 or will that be a separate family based application?
- Should my priority date be current before her I-485 can be filed?
- Will both I-485's be approved together or close to each other?


In case my I-485 gets approved before her's is filed does she loose H4 status and will have to go out of USA for FollowToJoin application process or this can be done without departing USA?

I am in the similar situation. I assume that you changed from AOS status to H-1B status, so you wife can apply for H-4 visa. I am trying to renew my H-1B right now. Theoreticaly, she should be able to stay in US with H-4 as long as your H-1B status is valid. If your greencard is approved, then you can file FB2 for her. I am not sure if you can attach her to your pending I-485. Anyone else can help to confirm?
By the way, anyone know if I can still keep my pending I-485(EB2) while changing the status from AOS to H-1B?
