Need help w/ inquiry letter for I-485

My RD is 1/30/02 and my status still says..the fingerprints were received..etc etc etc. I want to fax in an inquiry letter. Has anyone done this in the past? If so, what information should be included? How quickly did you get a response back from USCIS and in what form did they contact you? Thank you.

RFE generated for my case on 11th may...received by lawyer yesturday..

1. Asking last 3 years w2's and copy of last three paychecks...
2. Our skin test was positive when we did our Medical...My doctor informed INS about this and told us to take medicine for 9 months...to cure this..
Now in RFE they are asking proof that we have taken care of above problem.

They did not ask any tax forms or anything like that...likely we took medicine for 9 months and we have proof from docter...

I guess many people are in the same boat. Search for 2nd FP dilemma message thread. I got 2nd FP done in Jan, but my wife didnt get her's 2nd FP notice. The trend seems to suggest that you will get the notice when your file is opened. People incl me tried to fax, but didnt helped.

"On May 27, 2004, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or
information in this case. The notice explains in detail what additional
material is needed."

Waiting for RFE Information and will update when I know the RFE

Please post here if any of you recieved an RFE for your spouse asking for affidavit of support form I864/I364???? :confused:

I got it and the lawyer responded with a letter saying that it was not required.

1. submit a current letter from your current employer, if different from the old who filed the I-140, to verify your employment. The letter should include a detailed description of your current job duties. Show that your former job and your current job are similar and in the same field.
Also submit your W2s for the last three years to corroborate the employment.

2. Provide copies of your last four most recent pay stubs to show your current employment.

3. Please provide copies of your form 1040 personal income tax returns for
2002 and 2003.

Wife:
1. Submit I-693 along with Supplement A.
