F2 Visa question - Urgent

Hey All,

I am a Canadian resident on F1 Visa in USA. My wife who is Canadian has lived with me in USA for 5 months and now I have I-20 for her. Does she need to get an F2 visa.

Also, with the I-20, does she need to go back to Canada and come back to USA to get it stamped.

Please reply.
 
As far as I know Canadian citizens don't need a visa to come to the States for temporary visits. If your wife wishes to be in F-2 status, she needs to get an F-2 visa at a US consulate in Canada, and then enter the US using F-2 visa.
