F1 visa - from community college

Anybody here who got an F1 visa approved from a consulate using an 1-20 from a community college?

Is it true that the US consulate does not usually approve F1 visas for students who plan to go to a community college. Any tips, suggestions or past experience will be helpful.
 
thats not true, i got my F1 visa thru community college, and i know bunch of international students who got F1 with community college I-20. you have to have a valid affidavit of support(its better if your parents or relatives give it to you) and bank statement showing amount of money that college requires for I-20. It DOESN'T matter its a college or university.
