I am a recent masters graduate and now i am on OPT and unemployed and on top of it i was arrested for domestic violence with my roommate as i pushed him away for hitting me in the face and he got very minor injuries to his hand but the police arrested me because of his injuries but i only did it after he punched me and he knows it. I also have proof of him hitting me several times before the incident.
I have only few days of unemployment left and i have court date one day before the last day of 90 unemployment days.
Can i stay longer than 90 unemployment days if i decided to go for 2nd masters?
What if the the case does not get dropped and goes to trial and how does it affect my F1 Visa status if i am proved innocent?
Can i represent myself as i cannot afford legal fees?
Will the case will be dropped if i sahre new evidence to authorites before the court date?
