All,
I have an H1 stamping interview in Vancouver on Jan 30. (First time F1-OPT-H1).
In the list of documents to be brought to the interview, one of the items says 'Documents substantiating previous legal status in U.S'. What does that exactly mean?. I assume it means documents that substantiate my previous F-1 status. Is that correct?
Now I was here in the US on an L1 visa before. But then I went back to India, got an F-1 visa stamped and subsequently got the F-1 status changed to an H-1 status. Do the L-1 documents also come under the 'substantiating previous legal status' column? Do you think they are going to be really bothered with my L-1 thing when I have already gone back and gotten an F-1 stamped?
I will take the relevant documents but wanted your opinion.
Thanks,
